For my most recent project, I decided that I wanted to scale up and work with a much larger canvas. Much like my previous project, I started with many layers, painting several revisions overtop of the original. While I feel that I had a rough start with this particular piece, I don't think that the size of the canvas was the source the difficulty; instead, I credit it to the artist's block that I had while when I began to work on the piece. I learned that the method that helped me get through that mindset the most was drawing shapes and outlines into the partially-completed artwork with oil/chalk pastel. After trying this, I was able to move fairly quickly to finish.
