Experience Post Q2 - Week of 12/11

I found this week's lunchtime speaker, Dan Kanach, to be very influential. While I did not feel too strongly connected to the artist's work, I definitely learned a lot from the lecture. What I enjoyed the most about the Kanch's lecture was the fact that he shared his own journey as an artist and the tips that best helped him succeed in his career. My major takeaway from this week was that if you want to do something, you have to apply for it and put your work out there. It doesn't ever hurt to be ambitious, especially if you are an aspiring artist. In other words you'll never win an award or competition if you don't take the time out to apply.
